Simplicity ABC is looking for up to 3 local Charity, School and Community Project to show case their creativity, talent and team spirit using Gelgem to create, decorate and promote their causes on our store windows in conjunction with the grand reopening of Park Lane. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds for your favorite charity, school and/or community project.
Once again, Simplicity Decor & Simplicity ABC are offering an opportunity for kids and their family to fundraise for their favorite organizations this summer!
With great success of past 2 years and lot of requests from the community, we are offering this fun opportunity again. This year the event will be held on the weekend from July 12th to September 7th between 1-4pm.
We are providing prime locations in front of Simplicity Decor and Simplicity ABC on Park Lane in downtown Kirkland for the kiddos to hand out lemonade with a suggested donation. Simplicity Decor and Simplicity ABC will also donate 10% of the store’s proceed to the group’s chosen cause, during each shift at the stand! All they need to bring is some lemonade and their excitement!
Last two years we worked with more than 45 groups and donated more than $4,500 on top of what kids raised from the stands. We believe that this community program, not only support the local non-profits and/or causes but also teach kids about working for others and boost their confidence.
Applications are due by July 11thor until spots are filled. First come, first served. Please contact Simplicity ABC for an application and sign up for this summer! Any questions please do not hesitate to email “A” Liengboonlertchai.

Children benefit from writing cards: thank you cards, holiday cards, get well soon, etc… According to Circle of Moms, “The practice of writing these notes helps kids develop critical social skills that are essential to maintaining strong relationships.”
Developing the habit of sending cards can be challenging. I wanted my son to know, and feel, the importance of writing cards. In our home, we create a calendar with our family and close friends birthdays, anniversary’s and special events. We spend a week or two creating art for the card. The first week of each month, we send out everyone’s cards for that month. I learned it was easier to focus on sending things during the month instead of trying to mail it for the exact date. Now, my 5 year old son has special relationships with family he has not yet met.
When sending an email, giving a verbal thank you or even a text message is easier or seems sufficient, the act of writing a heartfelt card is becoming a lost art. “Perhaps the most important benefits are that it helps kids to think about someone else’s feelings while developing a habit of thankfulness.” Proverbs 31 Woman
Since we now have you thinking about it, we want you to know: We have the products to make card writing with children a fun family activity!
The Create a Card series is so much fun. Blank on the inside and your child can decorate the outside with a scene of stickers!
World of Thanks is similar to the Create a Card but with a thank you note inscribed for you.
There are many ways that puzzles benefit children. They are important teaching tools. “The use of puzzles, throughout a child’s educational years, will benefit him/her in all subject areas: Language Arts (reading, writing, communication- speaking and listening), Math, Social Studies, Science, and the Arts. Every area of a child’s life will benefit from the use of puzzles.” Educational Benefits of Puzzles Read More…
